    Family Literacy Night

Thursday, March 20 at 5:30 pm

Literacy Night is coming up on Thursday March 20th. The event will be from 5:30-6:30 and will include space themed books and activities in your child’s classroom. PTO will be hosting a raffle and light refreshments will also be provided in the Multi Purpose Room.

In classrooms students will be listening to a read aloud and then making space helmets and coffee filter moons for the Children And The Arts in May. The projects will be used in the Children and the Arts parade so they will not be going home until then.

We look forward to seeing you for a night of reading and art

AES participating in Bikes for Books Program

Recently AES had some Shriner clowns attend the Community Meeting to promote the Masonic Bikes for Books program. Students can earn a ticket for each book they read at school or at home, by completing a Lexia level, or by being successful with an intervention. At the end of the year, names will be drawn and new bikes and helmets will be awarded to those whose tickets are drawn. Several bikes will be awarded. Keep reading AES!

    AES PTO Cereal Drive

Did you know there are 68 hours from the time students leave on a Friday afternoon until they return to school on Monday morning? Some student here and throughout the country may experience food insecurities and may not have enough to eat during those times when away from school. The AES PTO will be sponsering a cereal drive to provide boxes of cereal to End 68 Hours of Hunger. We are trying to collect enough boxes to create a domino run around the school. There will be boxes for collections at the Bank of New Hampshire in Antrim, Rick and Diane's and at AES. Please feel free to advertise this on your social media accounts, share with friends and family in our town and beyond. Help us, help End 68 Hours because they do so much for so many.

Our Mission

In keeping with our Antrim Elementary School vision statement that kindness,

respect, honesty, cooperation, and grit are central to our success as a community of learners, the mission of the A.E.S. universal team is to promote these values by:

Gathering evidence of behavior Maintaining a common language Supporting the values with clear, consistent rules and logical consequences Providing a safe and caring learning environment The overall goal of our Universal Team is to create and maintain a school climate that encourages optimal safety and learning by modeling for students, specific examples of what it is to be kind, respectful, honest, cooperative, and show grit. Once the behaviors and attitudes associated with our expectations are taught, we recognize students for exhibiting these positive skills in a variety of ways.
